DIY Invitation Supplies
Our typical process for ordering and/or modifying an invitation from our site:
- You see an invitation that is perfect as is, or can be modified to be the perfect invitation for your wedding.
- You order an invitation sample with the Colour Swatches of your choice to see our high quality of print and materials. CLICK HERE TO ORDER SAMPLES or you Book an Appointment to see our selection of Invitations and Colours.
- You receive the sample or select an invitation during your consulatation, and would like to go forward with your design and colour modifications.
- You fill out our ONLINE ORDER FORM or e-mail us all the information and photos (if applicable) needed to create a proof of your invitation etc.
- We e-mail you an electronic proof of your invitation and components as well as an outline of your invoice. You look over the proofs carefully to make sure that the invitation is just the way you want it, and e-mail us with any changes and or corrections.
- We make the changes and send them back again
- For Custom Orders totalling over $500.00 clients receive a complimentary hardcopy proof. For orders under $500 hardopy proofs are available at an extra fee. See our samples page for more information on Hardcopy Proofs
- Once you approve the proof, we send you a secure online invoice via PayPal for a 50% deposit, or you can send a cheque or e-mail interact transfer.
- We then order your supplies and create your invitations. This is a 3-4 week process. We then ship your invitations to you.
- Once you receive the invitations the remainder of the invoice is due.
- You address and stamp the invitations or we can do it for you. See our SERVICES AND UPGRADES section.
- All of your guests reply and tell you how excited they are about your wedding and how great the invitations are.
- You contact us again to inquire about coordinating your other wedding stationary like programs, place cards, favour tags, thank you cards, etc.. (See COORDINATED STATIONARY)
Our process for designing an invitation from scratch:
- You decide that we can make the perfect invitation for your wedding.
- You use our online tools such as our QUOTE GENERATOR, ONLINE PREIVIEW TOOL and our gallaries to get an idea of price and what kind of design you are looking for.
- If you are in the Ottawa area, we can schedule an appointment for you to see our papers, enclosures, designs etc. To Book an appointment see our CONSULTATIONS page.
- If you are NOT in the Ottawa area you can e-mail us, order a SAMPLE with swatches, or call us to discuss what you are looking for.
- After the consultation process, either in person or by phone/e-mail, you would send us your information and photos (if applicable). We would then send you a Quote/Invoice and an electronic proof of your invitation.

Ordering Custom Designs for Invitations and Coordinated Stationary (No printing or supplies)
You tell us what you envision, provide us with the text and any ideas you may have and we create the perfect invitation design for you. Then its your turn to DIY!
When design(s) are finished we will provide final design in high quality format in .pdf and .jpeg (we can also provide other file types upon request)

Our typical process for ordering Single Panel Invitations from our Website:
1. Choose the invitation you would like from our website. See the colour swatches for our single panel invitations and decide what colours you would like.
2. Order a sample invitation and colour chart from our samples page to see the quality as well as what the colours look like printed. If you would like to upgrade your invitations with an invitation backing and/or coloured envelopes, please make sure to order colour swatch samples from our Envelopments® collection.
3. After you receive your samples, use our online order form for single panel invitations or if you prefer you can contact us and we can help you order your invitations.
4. We will then put together an electronic proof of your sample and send you an outlined invoice as well as a secure online invoice via PayPal.
5. Once the invoice is paid we will start processing your invitations, this process takes approx. 2 1/2 weeks, it will take a little longer if you order upgrades.
6. We then send your invitations to you or arrange local pick up.
Our typical process for ordering Envelopments Supplies (DIY supplies):
1. After looking through our site and the shape and size charts and price guides, choose your outer blank enclosure/invitation style, colour and orientation.
2. Select your card or paper layers from the cardstocks and papers.
3. Pick your outer envelope and reply card envelope (if applicable).
4. Use our ONLINE order form to submit your order, or e-mail us at kendra@milestonemoments.ca
5. We will put together an outlined invoice of your order and send you a secure online invoice via PayPal. If you prefer you can send an e-mail interac transfer or cheque.
6. Once we receive your payment we will order your supplies and ship them to you.
7. On delivery of your order simply trim and print the cut card to your own design (We recommend using a laser printer with a through/flat feed if you are printing on cardstock, an inkjet printer would work for paper)
If your not sure what combination of colours or patterns you would like then order one of Envelopments® Mini Swatch Decks, for $25.00 each including taxes and delivery. They contain one swatch of each of Envelopments® colours and patterns (All labelled) on a deck that can be twisted around so you can find the perfect match thus avoiding any costly mistakes.
