Order Process

Our typical process for ordering and/or modifying an invitation from our site:

There is no design charge for modifying an invitation from our website- this includes changing colors of printed items and supplies as well as fonts. For any other modifications, custom design fees apply.

  1. You see an invitation that is perfect as is, or can be modified to be the perfect invitation for your wedding.
  2. You contact us to request a sample of the invitation as well as the colour swatches you would like to see. The price for the sample is the price of the actual invitation.
  3. You receive the sample, and would like to go forward with your design and colour modifications.
  4. You e-mail us all the information and photos (if applicable) needed to create a proof of your invitation etc. (This includes wording of invitations, reply cards etc.)
  5. We e-mail you an electronic proof of your invitation and components as well as an outline of your invoice.  You look over the proofs carefully to make sure that the invitation is just the way you want it, and e-mail us with any changes and or corrections. We allow 3 free proofs, after that there is a $10.00 charge for each additional proof.
  6. We make the changes and send them back again
  7. For Orders over $500.00 clients receive a complimentary hardcopy proof. For orders under $500 hardopy proofs are available for $30.00 each. (The hardcopy proof is not available until after the deposit is received, th choice of materials cannot be changed at this point.)
  8. Once you approve the online proof, we send you a secure online invoice via PayPal for a 50% deposit, or you can send a cheque or e-mail interact transfer.
  9. We then order your supplies and create your invitations. If you have ordered a hardcopy proof we then produce it. (This takes approx a week and a half). One everything is approved it is a 3-4 week process to produce your invitations.  We then ship your invitations to you.
  10. Once you receive the invitations the remainder of the invoice is due.
  11. You address and stamp the invitations or we can do it for you.  
  12. All of your guests reply and tell you how excited they are about your wedding and how great the invitations are.
  13. You contact us again to inquire about coordinating your other wedding stationary like programs, place cards, favour tags, thank you cards, etc..

  1. You have a design in mind for your invitations and contact us for a quote, giving us a detailed description of what you are looking for.
  2. You are happy with the quote and would like to go forward with a design.

Our typical process for ordering Single Panel Invitations from our Website:

1. Choose the invitation you would like from our website.
2. COntact us to Order a sample invitation, the sample invitations are $7.00 for single panel invitations.
3. After you receive your sample and you would like to go ahead, you contact us with the information for your invitations, including wording for your invitations and reply cards, and a photo if applicable.
4. We will then put together an electronic proof of your sample and send you an outlined invoice as well as a secure online invoice via PayPal.
5. Once the invoice is paid we will start processing your invitations, this process takes approx. 2 1/2 weeks.
6. We then send your invitations to you or arrange local pick up.

Hard Copy Proofs

Milestone Moments offers hard copy proofs upon request to make sure that you are satisfied with your invitation before we go to print on the entire order. The proof is available after you make your deposit and we order the supplies. After you receive the proof, design elements and colors of the print can be changed, however materials can not be changed such as envelope, pocketfolds, cardstocks etc. Hardcopy proofs are $30.00 each for orders under $500.

Order Timelines

Invitations are typically sent 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding date.  However, this time may lengthen depending on a few things. It may lengthen if you are going to do a staggered ‘A’ & ‘B’ mailout as appose to a ‘one shot’ mail-out. It may also lengthen if you are having a destination wedding or you are marrying over the holidays. In this case you should send out the invitations 10 to 12 weeks before the wedding. If you are concerned with people’s availability you should first send ‘save the date’ cards.

We would also suggest that you order your invitations awhile before you plan to send them out to avoid any unforseen complications.

Custom Invitations from Website

Invitations from our website (other than those under the single panel section) take 3-4 weeks in production, once you order the invitation. Please not that you should also leave time for the design process of the invitation when there will be some going back and forth to make sure the invitations are designed exactly how you want them. Shipping time depends on where you are located and what shipping method you choose.

Custom Invitations from Scratch

Invitations from scratch take 3-4 weeks in production, once you order the invitation. Please not that you should also leave time for the design process of the invitation when there will be some going back and forth to make sure the invitations are designed exactly how you want them. Shipping time depends on where you are located and what shipping method you choose.

Single Panel Invitations

Single Panel Invitations take approximately 2 weeks in production from the time you order. Please leave a little time for design to make sure your invitation is exactly how you want it. Shipping time depends on where you are located and what shipping method you choose.
